Marianne Mobley

Marianne Mobley has recently joined Children’s Occupational Therapy Queensland and brings with her a wealth of experience.

Marianne qualified with an Occupational Therapy honors degree 18 years ago in the United Kingdom, and has worked as an occupational therapist since then. She more recently worked in New Zealand for 10 years before moving to the Gold Coast with her family in May 2011. Marianne has experience working in a variety of settings, including but not limited to, working with adults and children with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities, developmental delay, on the autistic spectrum and with sensory processing difficulties. She has worked in community, hospital and school settings. For the past 5 years Marianne has chosen to specialize in working with children, both pre-schoolers and school age. In June 2005 Marianne completed the prestigious Bobath/ Neurodevelopmental Therapy Paediatric course in New Zealand, and has endeavoured to incorporate this into her every-day practice.
Marianne finds intervention to be the most effective when working closely with parents, carers and other support networks, and believes that for the best results children must be active participants in intervention that is both fun and purposeful.
Marianne is passionate about helping children reach their optimum potential in all areas of life.
